I have a few bottles of spray paint, both big and small at my kids disposal in his art room. For big spray bottles, I hung up a few large sized chart papers (construction paper) on his easel. These are great, not just for the size but this paper can withstand a heavy dose of spraying without crumbling. If I run out of some, I just turn it around!
Random spraying on a large canvas is so organic! Hence my 3 y.o. has been doing it a lot lately!

A bit of spraying on his face too!

I gave him a couple warnings to avoid spraying in his eyes- so he just started painting with a brush!
This one looked like "rain", so I brought it down from the easel the next day and asked him to stick some cotton balls to make "clouds".
Here's how it looked like!
Oh, that's fun! My 3-year-old would get a kick out of spray painting. I will have to try it! Cute, cute pictures! Thanks for sharing with us. :)

DeleteI'm dropping by from Share Your Cup link party. This is such a wonderful idea. Initially, I thought that a 3 year old was a tad young for this kind of thing. after seeing all of your wonderful pictures, I've changed my mind. It would be a fabulous activity!
ReplyDeleteI have a link party that I am trying to grow. I invite you to share this idea (and a couple of others) at my Grandma Ideas Sharing Time link up at http://grandmaideas.com. I think my readers would LOVE this idea, too.
My linkup is open Wednesday through Friday at midnight. I hope to see you there!
I also have a giveaway where you can win 3 movies (Woman in Gold, Big Eyes, and The King's Speech) and a $25 gift certificate. I invite you to enter my giveaway. (There aren't too many entries so you have a great chance of winning!)
All the best,
Nina
Hi Nina, 3 is the perfect age for spraying! i.e. if they follow some rules such as no spraying on the walls ! I missed last week link up, but I'll stop by this week:)
