Using Glitter glue can be so frustrating! You gotta squeeze em like your life depends on it. Not fun for little kids! So I got some Sequins! The timing couldn't have been more right, since we had been doing various Christmas packs!
My 3 y.o. Carefully dotted glue over Christmas trees and wreath print outs and stuck red green and golden sparkles over them. No frustrations and a few afternoons well spent! All while humming various nursery rhymes.
(Have you known any other 3 year old who hums?!! Well this one is. A big time hummer!)
We loved using the 3 Dinosaur's Christmas Pack & Reindeer Pack and Totschooling's Christmas Playdough Mats. The dot marker pages were especially useful. He painted the dots with q-tips/ear buds and/ or glued round sequins in each dot!

I know exactly what you mean with the glitter glue, you shake, turn red, and a small dot slowly drips :) I like your idea.

This is a great idea, and no glitter all through the house either.
