Paint with Bubbles

Painting with bubbles is integrating the two most fave things kids love: bubbles and paint! It never gets old! We just need to pour in some bubble mixture in the paint mix and blow them on paper! When the bubbles burst on paper, they form various patterns including rings.

When I went about looking for the bubble mixture at home, I realised it had been *ages* since we blew some! And it also meant he hadn't really blown any himself. I never really let him, since that would mean handling him the bottle, which would mean spilling some everywhere, which would mean slippery floors! A complete no-no !

I can hand him the bottle now with some rules, without worrying about him slipping every now and then.

vertical easel didn't quite work, so brought down the board on the table

He took some time to find his groove! Clip the paper vertically on the easel or horizontally? Big breath or small breath? Blow slowly or really fast? Blow with a big noise or silently? Tough decisions for a 3 year old!

Dunno about the most effective, but he did figure out the funniest way to blow! Peels of laughter every time!

We did this a few days in a row!

  1. I love the designs the bubbles make when they pop! We tried this with the paper flat, but it's much smarter to hang the paper on an easel!
