The family that bikes together.. Travels together! (Practical Mondays #8)

The perfect way to spend Sunday mornings in Santiago? Biking on empty roads!

Santiago has a few streets cordoned off for cyclists & skaters only! Every Sunday till 2pm that is. It is *so* much better to ride without a care in the world! Without watching our son navigate tricky sidewalks next to speeding cars like hawks!

It is healthy and is absolutely *free*.

  3. We have an awesome bike trail that I've dreamed of enjoying with my family, but we keep complicating our lives in ways that prevent me from overcoming all of the attendant challenges. I think your adventure looks delightful!

    1. I'm too! In fact if my husband's not around I prefer to leave my bike at home and run alongside my son! :)

  8. I have not biked in a long time. I have no excuse since there is very neat beachside bike path close to where I live.

  14. wow, thats one cool area to stop the vehicles so you can ride bikes, much more safer :) Never seen it happen here in Australia, but so love the idea! Makes everyone get out and about and enjoy the fresh air/exercise together. Yep families that travel together are happier!

  16. It's great that you get roads cordoned off for cyclists! I wish they had something like that here although you do get a cycle path along the seafront so I can't really complain! Looks like you all had fun. Beautiful shots. Thanks for joining in with #MyFavouriteTrip Polly
