Where's Wally (In Your Mess)? {Practical Mondays #47}

Life imitates Art.

Our play room sometimes imitates the Where’s Wally (Waldo) book!

Utterly messy, jumbled up and chaotic!

Imagine a sensory bin that was only supposed to have coffee beans, now has magnetic alphabets, cotton buds, UNO cards, cars, pencils, bottle caps, dice, and COINS?

Perfect to play a Where’s Wally game! Take a picture of the select few items to be hunted before tossing them back in the mess. I put some Wally (Waldo) stickers we had on coins and tossed them in too. Don't forget to set the timer before you yell "go!"

When life gives you lemons, like they say!

Round one: Items haphazardly sprawled in the pictures. What was really difficult was matching coins to the picture (we have Peruvian Nuevo Soles pesos to Bolivian Bolivianos!)

Round two: Put the Wally stickers on coins & made sure the items in the picture are in rows, so my 5 year old could mentally 'tick them off'.

We have all the Wally Books! Plenty to do within the books itself

If toys are scattered all over the place, take individual pictures and put then all in one album! Kids can tick the ‘heart’ on each picture once found. Here's my screenshot:

  6. Ooooh! We were away from the house all weekend (read: house is a BIG mess), so I am totally going to do this to help my daughter clean up her things in a few minutes! What a great idea! Pinning!

  10. Such a simple but effective idea. I think I'll try this with my two this afternoon after nursery. We are never short of clutter to hide things in haha. Thanks for sharing with #DreamTeam.
